Is an online educational  course for those wanting to get a better understanding of this important African American holiday.

Kwanzaa, contrary to the belief of some, is not a “Black Christmas.” It is a cultural holiday created by Dr. Maulana Karenga to help reconnect Black people in America with our African roots. 

The 7 principles which define the Kwanzaa celebration are ideals the we can embrace and utilize throughout the entire year.

Today, more than 35 million people of African descent throughout the world celebrate Kwanzaa. 

In this instructional video, we will provide basic information including:

• What are the symbols of Kwanzaa
• Why should we celebrate Kwanzaa
• How do we celebrate Kwanzaa

This 45 minute course has been broken down into four basic sections that are simple and very easy to understand.
